Kente Cloth - Ghana

In Ghana, Kente cloth is very important.  Each piece is different and is personal to the owner.  Each color represents different activities, clebrations, feelings, or objects in their culture.  We made our own piece of Kente by choosing the colors, making a pattern, and describing what each color represents.  (2012-2013) Here are a few examples:
