at Memorial Spaulding!
Mrs. DeKing - Room 250

Thank you very much for checking out my web site.   This will be a place for you to receive updates on what's happening in the classroom, read "What did we learn this week?", take the link to the current blog,  see student work, read important information you need to know for our classroom, and you'll find some sites and apps that you can do at home with your child which relates to our curriculum.

My goal is for each student to enjoy school, develop love of learning, increase their self esteem, increase independence, make decisions and be responsible, as well as learning the curriculum.  We work a great deal on working as a team and building a community, being the best they can be, learning that practice makes better (not perfect), the values of Memorial Spaulding, and most importantly...they believe in themselves!  They believe they can do it, they will try, and they will succeed!

**Below are some quick reminders for you to keep in mind this year....
* I have a blog that is updated almost weekly so please take a look at that and sign up on that page to follow our blog and to receive updated blogs when posted.  Here is the site: http://dekingroom250.blogspot.com
*  The first bell rings at 8:20 and school begins at 8:30.   During this time, your child should be unpacking their belongings, putting their homework in the box, reading the morning message, and completing morning work.   They have a lot to do so the closer to 8:20 they can be here...the better way to start off their day!
* We have snack everyday.   Please send in a small nutritious snack.   Popular choices are yogurt, fruit, pretzels, popcorn, fruit snacks, and fruit cups.
*  Don't forget library books on library days and sneakers on physical education days!
*  Check your child's folder every night...there is often homework or notices from me or the school that are important for you to see.
