About the conductor: Jaime Alberts
Jaime Alberts is the director of the Bigelow Choruses. She also directs the Newton All City Honors Chorus: Troubadours, teaches 8th grade general music, 6th grade drama, guitar, and is the audio consultant at Bigelow. Ms. Alberts has a master's degree in music education from The Boston Conservatory and a bachelor's degree in public policy from Brown University. She is the former Mary Wolfman Epstein Conducting Fellow with the Zamir Chorale. She enjoys repertoire from around the world, particularly folk songs, musicals, and contemporary classical works. Some of her favorite composers are Jim Papoulis, Matthew Harris, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and John Rutter.
