I set out to do a concert of songs with Shakespearean texts, only to find that such songs are in short supply for the middle school choir. We were fortunate to receive assistance from Jason Thoms, who composed two of tonight’s works specifically for us. Stephen Murray wrote The Wind and the Rain for his musical based on Twelfth Night, which premiered at Wayland Middle School in 2006. We are the first to perform the choral arrangement. Both Steve and Jason donated their music free of charge, and we are deeply grateful.  It is exciting to be singing music no one has ever heard before- we hope you enjoy it!   Complete Recording of Shakespearefest!
