Bowen’s Weekly Family Update
March 1, 2019

Dear Bowen Families,
It was great to return to school after the February break!  Students and staff jumped right back into school routines!  We are looking forward to a long uninterrupted stretch of school and learning as winter comes to an end.  Thank you for everything you do to help your children develop and grow as learners.  Bowen is a great place to be!  Enjoy the weekend, see you next week!
Yours truly,

News You Need to Know
Planning Ahead
The NPS School Committee has approved the school calendar for 2019 - 2020, including the early release afternoons.  Please use the attached calendar for planning ahead and try to avoid making plans and appointments that would have your child miss school.  We want students in school 180 days!
Bowen Science Day - Sunday, April 7, 2019
This week PTO volunteers visited classrooms to promote Bowen Science Day by doing an experiment for the kids and sharing information about the event.  Please be sure to ask your child about what experience was shared in the class and be sure to register for Bowen Science Day!
Kindergarten Registration
If you have a child entering kindergarten next September, please call Ms. Megrian in the office to schedule a kindergarten registration/screening appointment for your child.
Lost and Found
When visiting school over the next month for conferences please look through lost and found.  There is a lot of winter gear that has been collected.  We will be donating unclaimed items after conferences.
