Happy New Year!  I have enjoyed welcoming students and staff back to school after the December break.  I hope you and your family found time to relax and enjoy time together.  Thank you again for everything you do to help your children develop and grow as learners.  Bowen is a great place to be!  Enjoy the weekend, see you next week!

PTO Open Meeting, Tuesday Night, 7:30 p.m.
Please join me and your PTO Executive Committee at our PTO Open Meeting on Tuesday, January 8, at 7:30 p.m.  Snacks and drinks available at 7:30 p.m.; formal meeting to start promptly at 8 p.m.  During our meeting, we will recap the year to date and preview what’s to come.  This will include an overview of new NPS Equity Policy, a budget review and upcoming spring events.  I will also provide an update from the principal’s perspective.  We will wrap up our evening with an open discussion, so please bring your questions, concerns and ideas.   I look forward to seeing you then.
Newton Public Schools Invites New Incoming K Families to Attend Kindergarten Informational Night
 Are you new to Newton Public Schools and have a child who is eligible for kindergarten? The Newton Public Schools is holding an evening session for new parents whose children will enter kindergarten in September 2019.                                                                                   
Administrators, principals, and staff will provide an overview of information on a variety of topics connected to kindergarten registration, screening and other important issues.                                                                                 
Parents attending will also be able to pick up registration information and forms. We hope you will be able to join us for this informative session.
