Rotting Log Mystery Riddles

Our classroom terrarium provides us with a wonderful opportunity to observe a unique habitat and the organisms that live there. The decaying log makes the perfect habitat for a mini-ecosystem incorporating interesting organisms like crickets, earthworms, millipedes, snails and slugs, beetles as well as wood, leaves, moss, and soil.

We are learning to use a Proscope (a digital microscope) attached to a computer to get a closer look at all the interesting things in our terrarium.

We took lots of pictures using the Proscope.  We used the digital images to make drawings of the oganism we studied.  The photographs helped us to see important details we would have otherwise missed.  We filled in a scientific observation sheet and wrote "What am I Riddles? about the specific organism we studied.  Look carefully at the photos  that we took of our mystery organism, read our clues, and see if you can guess what it is.
